Pilot Curricular courses in Africa
The 8 Pilot Curricular courses have concluded successfully in the African Partners Universities with the support of the 3 European Partner Universities. The videos and slides of all the lectures of all the 8 Courses, as well as all the design tools used and developed, are now available and free to download in copy left from the LeNSes website in the section COURSES and TOOLS. The shared goal of this first cycle of courses is to provide knowledge-based and know-how on System Design for Sustainable Energy for All (SD4SEA), focused on the design of Sustainable Product-Service Systems (S.PSS) applied to Distributed Renewable Energies (DRE), promoting a new and challenging role for the designer. The first pilot course took place at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) with the collaboration of Politecnico di Milano and the University of Botswana (UB) between the 27th of October and the 7th of November. The second pilot course took place at the Makerere University (MAK) with the collaboration of TU Delft and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology between the 9th and the 19th of March. The third pilot course took place at the University of Botswana with the collaboration of the Brunel University and the University of Nairobi between the 16th and the 27th of March. The fourth pilot course took place at the University of Nairobi with the collaboration of Politecnico di Milano and the Makere University between the 4th and 15th of May.
